When it comes to the Forester, this is a really popular vehicle for people who like to go out and on adventures and things like that. And having a hitch back here will allow you to pull your trailers around or use those different types of accessories. Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Subaru Forester and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the etrailer Class III 2" Hitch Receiver. Adding a 2" hitch receiver to your Forester is gonna allow you to haul a couple of different accessories. That's gonna allow you to use it with a bike rack. You can put a bike rack on the back, get your bikes to and from the trail. A cargo carrier, if you want to tow a small trailer, you can put a ball mount in the back. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Subaru Forester and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding the two inch hitch receiver to the back of your Forester is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. It's gonna allow you to haul bike racks and cargo carriers on the back, many other accessories. You can also use it to pull trailers when you pair it with a four pole wiring kit like we're gonna do today. You can put a ball mount in the back of your Forester here and then tow your trailer to get it to where you need it. more

As far as the hitch's weight capacities go, it's gonna have some decent numbers. Maximum gross tongue weight rating will be 525 pounds. That's gonna be the amount of weight pushing down on the hitch, so you should be able to use pretty much any size bike rack or cargo carrier that you'd want to, for example. more

When it comes to picking out a hitch that's gonna work best for you and your Forester, there's a lot of different options available out there and with this one having the smaller inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening, this one's really gonna be ideal for those of you that really only plan on using a smaller accessories like a bike rack, especially if you already own one in that size. And I say that because your options are just a little more limited as far as different types of things you can get that'll work with this particular hitch. Now that's not to say you can't tow with this or anything along those lines because you can, but if you plan on towing quite a bit or using different types or larger style accessories, there's other options out there that'll work a little bit better, particularly those two inch by two inch trailer hitches. more

Now, this is what the hitch is gonna look like when it's actually installed on the vehicle. And you're gonna see, it's got a nice black powder coat finish on its steel construction, so it's gonna be looking nice and black and not rusted because it has a little bit of corrosion proof with that coating. Hi there Subaru owners, today in your 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Draw-Tite's Class II, 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. Now the cross tube is going to be visible, but the entire assembly is tucked so far up under the bumper, for the most part you can't even notice that there's even a hitch installed on this thing. Unless you get down on your knees or bend over, you're almost not even going to notice that it's there, because of the way it's tucked up so nicely.It has a Class II, 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 receiver. So it's going to be great for all of your light duty applications, whether you're wanting to put, accessories in it like a cargo carrier or bike rack, or if you have some light duty towing that you need to do you can also get a little bit of towing down with this as well. Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. In my opinion, this is going to be a great all around hitch. Not only is it going to look pretty good, but it's also going to be really easy to use. The end of the receiver tube is going to sit just behind our bumper and give us plenty of clearance for many different types of accessories. And since there's nothing really here, interfering with the hitch, it's going to be really easy to get your pin and clip in as well as hook on your safety chains. Now, as far as looks go compared to some of the other hitches, this one is going to be a little bit more visible, but since the cross tube does sit pretty far back and it is going to blend in really nice.You're really not going to notice it, especially when the car is sitting on the ground. more

In my opinion, this hitch is going to be a great choice for you if you plan on only using inch and a quarter accessories, or especially if you already have them. And since it is more of a low profile design, it is going to be less visible and in my opinion look pretty good on the back of the Subaru.So this is going to be a class two hitch so it's going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and a reinforced collar for some extra strength. Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at eTrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the eco hitch hidden trailer hitch receiver. Now the main thing that separates this hitch from some of the others is that it's going to be completely hidden. The only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening and your safety chain plates. Now in my opinion, that's a big advantage because you're going to be able to maintain that factory look and you're not going to have to sacrifice the usability. It's going to give us really good clearance, especially for those folding accessories because the end of the receiver tube opening is going to sit pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper. more

Right off the bat, this hitch is going to be a little bit visible, but in my opinion, it really doesn't look too bad, and kind of goes well and matches that Subaru image.Now, this is a class III hitch, so it's going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really going to give us a ton of different options, as far as what we want to do with it. So whether you're pulling a trailer, putting in a cargo carrier or even using it for those accessories like a bike rack, this is going to get the job done and work really well. And as a bonus, it's going to give us some pretty good clearance too. However, I did want to bring the CURT out and talk a little bit about it, because this could potentially be the right choice for you.The biggest difference I noticed between the two hitches is in the appearance. Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install this Draw-Tite hitch on our 2018 Subaru Forester.This is going to be a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver, so it's going to be great for any small trailers, bike racks, cargo carriers, et cetera. It's going to have your standard five-eighths-inch pin hole to be able to fit those pins through to be able to lock in your accessories. It's also going to have a loop to be able to hook your safety chains on and a J-pin hole to be able to insert your J-pin if this is the style pin you like using. With this hitch, you are going to have a 525-pound tongue weight rating and a trailer weight rating of 3,500 pounds. But you are going to want to check with your Forrester's owner's manual to be able to see if your car can handle that weight. more

Today in our 2018 Subaru forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver.Here's where our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. You'll see that the cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper, but it is tucked back quite away, so all we're really gonna see is the receiver tube here at the end. Now, this is class two hitch, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and it's going to be really nice for bike racks or some smaller cargo carriers.Where we're going to attach any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. Now, these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here etrailer.com along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories stay secure.If you do plan on doing some light duty towing, keep in mind there is a specific draw bar made for this hitch.
